Starting My Loc Journey
Last year I decided I was done trying to constantly figure out what to do with my hair. I wanted something that felt easier and more natural for me. After spending time watching the loc community on TikTok and doing my own research, I finally decided to start my own journey.
On November 16, 2025, I got large Sisterlocks installed. I ended up with about 250 locs, and I’ve honestly been loving them ever since. It feels good to wake up and not stress about my hair the way I used to.
I’m still early in the journey, but I’m enjoying every stage of it. My third retie is coming up next weekend, and I’m excited to see how they continue to grow and mature.
